This is a little off topic from what I usually write about but just wanted to point this out. A project called pgpool-II is a tool for Postgres that allows you to run parallel queries (among other things) in a clustered environment. They haven't released anything yet, but you can check out pgpool-I to check out some of the other benefits it provides.
